Regardless of how you choose to play, Ghost Squad delivers the classic light-gun style of gameplay that has made similar games like Virtua Cop such successes.ĭespite the fairly innovative branching path system that Ghost Squad employs (enabling players to choose different paths through each level), the three levels that come with the game could get pretty boring if it weren't for the wealth of tweakables packed into the game. During our time with the game, we noticed that the Wii Zapper insists on us using the front trigger for firing, but fortunately Ghost Squad enables you to remap the controls to the rear trigger in order to better mimic a standard submachine gun grip. Although the game will work without the Wii Zapper, it is recommended that you take advantage of the improved arcade experience this simple peripheral provides. While the original arcade game was limited to two players, the Wii version will offer support for up to four players at a time. It is Ghost Squad's responsibility to defuse international-scale situations that threaten to throw the world into unmitigated global conflict and it accomplishes this by shooting tons of terrorists in a variety of locations including a jungle, Air Force One and another jungle. uh, the Ghost Squad (a military spec-ops team similar to Ubisoft's Team Rainbow or Ghost Recon groups). Ghost Squad enables players to step into the musty military boots of. the fact that this game is a port of an arcade light-gun game handles that just fine. So, while it might seem like a major drawback to have only three levels, it doesn't actually translate into limited gameplay. Of course, those three levels can be modified to increase replayability by changing the character models of enemies and fellow Ghost Squad team members to hilarious results. Not even a cut scene.Right out of the gate, we need to notify you that Ghost Squad on the Wii features only three levels to play through. No secrets revealed, no surprises, no twists no turns nothing. There is a bad guy, again he is Russian - that's the story. Story-wise this game is the bottom end of all Tom Clancy games. There are no decisions you can make in terms of where to advance, there game follows one straight path till the end. The game itself is a simple light gun rail shooter with the option to decide when you advance. With all the retries it took me 6 hours solo. I highly doubt you need more then 4 hours to get through the whole game with a skilled partner on your side. The 30 advertised missions are actually 10 missions/settings divided in to three parts each. If you play this with a real person instead its fun - which only lasts short. Your AI Buddy is simply not smart enough, decides to reload an almost full mag while your enemy triggers the alert, stays in the gas cloud instead of advancing, carries a sniper rifle but tries to shoot an enemy at the other end of the village with his assault rifle and so on and so on. If you are trying to play it solo you will find yourself doing the same scene over and over and over again even at lowest difficulty.
